Twelve (12) newly enlisted Student Officers of the 80th Intake of Direct Entry Officers were administered their oaths today (30 December 2025) at Air Force Headquarters in the presence of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe. This was done prior to departing for their basic training at the SLAF Combat Training School, Diyatalawa.
 
The Commander congratulated the newly enlisted Student Officers during the ceremony, held in the presence of members of the Air Force Board of Management and senior officers.
