ONE-DAY KARATE TRAINING PROGRAMME CONDUCTED AT SLAF HEALTH MANAGEMENT CENTRE
A one-day Karate training programme organized for SLAF Karate players was held at the SLAF Health Management Centre, Thummulla, with the participation of Karate instructors from Japan.
The programme was conducted in collaboration with the International Winners Sports Karate Association Sri Lanka (IWSKAS) with the aim of improving the technical proficiency and competition preparedness of SLAF Karate players. The training sessions focused on Kata and Kumite disciplines in accordance with international competition standards.
The training programme was conducted by Sensei Toshikatsu Azumi (8th Dan), a former member of the Japan National Karate Team and a WKF Referee, Sensei Fumiya Yoshimura (4th Dan), a member of the Japan National Karate Team and Sensei Yoshimura Sayo (3rd Dan), a former Japan National Team member and Yoga Master.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Chairman of SLAF Karate, Air Vice Marshal Vajira Senadheera and coordinated by the Assistant Secretary, Wing Commander Menoka Hapuarachchi.
