The No. 01 Information Technology Wing (No. 01 ITW) at SLAF Base Ratmalana marked its 13th anniversary today (11 March 2026) with a series of events organized to commemorate the occasion. The celebrations commenced with the customary working parade, which was reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander EMIWR Ekanayake. in the presence of officers, other ranks and civilian staff of the Wing.

In line with the anniversary celebrations, the Wing also organized several community service initiatives to further extend its service beyond operational responsibilities. As part of these efforts, personnel of No. 01 ITW conducted a blood donation campaign in collaboration with the Kotelawala Defence University Hospital. Further, a Bodhi Pooja ceremony was held at the Mallikaramaya Temple in Ratmalana with the participation of IT Wing personnel.
