COMMANDER INSPECTS FINISHING STAGE OF PHASE ONE RENOVATION AT COLOMBO CENTRAL BUS TERMINAL

The Commander of the Air Force, Bandu Edirisinghe, visited the Colombo Central Bus Terminal in Pettah today (06 April 2026) to inspect the finishing stage of Phase One of the renovation work. This project is being carried out under the Clean Sri Lanka programme, which aims to enhance urban infrastructure and promote environmental cleanliness across the country.

During the visit, the Commander conducted a detailed inspection of Phase One of the project, reviewing the progress of development activities and assessing the quality of the construction work.

Phase One includes the refurbishment of existing buildings, the construction of an information center, an ablution complex, an external bus queue area and landscaping improvements.

The visit was conducted to evaluate the progress prior to handing over the upgraded facility to the public in time for the upcoming Sinhala and Hindu New Year festival.
