The ‘Sirasa Wasantha Udanaya’ New Year festival was held yesterday (11 April 2026) at the NLDB Farm Grounds Weerawila, with the assistance of the SLAF. The event was organized by the Capital Maharaja Group in collaboration with SLAF Station Weerawila.

The occasion was graced by the Director General Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Rajinth Jayawardena, as the Chief Guest.

The SLAF provided essential logistical and ground support to facilitate the successful conduct of the event. The festival featured a variety of traditional games and cultural activities, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere for the large crowd in attendance.
