FALL OUT PARADE OF REGULAR, DIRECT ENTRY AND VOLUNTEER AIRMEN AND AIRWOMEN HELD AT SLAF ACADEMY CHINA BAY
The fall out parade of No.174D Regular Airmen, No.44D Regular Airwomen, No.136D Volunteer Airmen, No.18D Volunteer Airwomen and No.42D Direct Entry Recruit Courses took place yesterday (12 May 2026), at SLAF Academy China Bay.
The occasion was graced by Director General Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Rajinth Jayawardena as the chief guest. Commandant and All Officers of SLAF Academy China Bay and senior officers including sister services and the Sri Lanka Police, were present. The parade was commanded by Group Captain Chamil Hettiarachchi the Commanding Officer Ground Training Wing SLAF Academy China Bay.
A total of 194 young Airmen and Airwomen proudly completed their training at the SLAF Academy China Bay on this significant day. The Chief Guest delivered inspirational address during the parade, extending heartfelt congratulations on the successful completion of Basic Ground Combat Training. He emphasized that the young Airmen and Airwomen are now integral parts of the Air Force, stressing the vital responsibility of maintaining the highest standards of integrity and discipline.
