With the objective of enhancing awareness on personal financial management, savings, investment opportunities and responsible financial decision-making among SLAF service personnel, the Directorate of Welfare, in liaison with the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), conducted an Awareness Programme yesterday (15 May 2026) on Financial Literacy and Investment.

The programme was conducted by qualified resource personnel representing the Colombo Stock Exchange, who delivered informative sessions on financial literacy, long-term savings, prudent financial planning and investment opportunities available through the Colombo Stock Exchange. The programme further enabled participants to broaden their knowledge on effective financial management practices and informed investment decision-making.

The event was attended by the members of the Air Force board of management, Senior Officers and a cross section of other ranks representing various Directorates and Branches at Air Force Headquarters.

The programme was successfully conducted as part of the SLAF welfare initiatives aimed at enhancing the financial well-being and future financial security of service personnel.
