The No.05 Air Defence Radar Squadron at SLAF Station Palavi celebrated its 19th Anniversary today (24 May 2026). The Celebration commenced with the customary working parade, which was reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander Gangana Lenora. 

In parallel with the anniversary celebrations, a Shramadana campaign was conducted at the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) Office in the Puttalam District on 22 May 2026. The celebrations culminated with a tree plantation programme and a friendly cricket tournament held at the station sports ground, with the participation of all service personnel and civil staff of the Radar Squadron.
