The Inter Unit Billiard and Snooker Championship – 2026 was held at SLAF Base Katunayake today (27 May 2026). The awarding ceremony took place at the Gymnasium SLAF Base Katunayake with the graceful presence of Director General Air Operations, Air Vice Marshal Dhammika Dias as the Chief Guest.

SLAF Trade Training School Ekala emerged as the Inter Unit Champions whilst SLAF Base Anuradhapura secured the Runners-Up. Mr. Saman Bandara from  SLAF Base Anuradhapura and Sergeant Dananjalee GC from SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura became the Champions of the Billiards Open Men’s and Billiards Open Women’s’ events respectively.

The ceremony was attended by the Director Sports of the SLAF, Commanding Officer SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Chairman and Officials of Billiards and Snooker Association Sri Lanka, Chairman SLAF Billiard and Snooker, Members of the Air Force Sports Council and other invitees.
