SLAF REGIMENTAL CENTRE AMPARA ORGANIZES TREE PLANTING PROGRAMME FOR WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
In line with World Environment Day, a tree planting programme was held at the SLAF Regimental Centre Ampara today (05 June 2026). The programme was officially inaugurated by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain Prabath Alexander, with the planting of a Kubuk sapling at the open ground near the Main Guard Room of the Centre.
As part of the programme, 50 Kubuk saplings and 50 Mee saplings, donated by the Department of Forest Conservation, Ampara, were planted within the Centre premises.
The event was attended by officers, a cross-section of airmen and airwomen and two officials from the Department of Forest Conservation, Ampara.
