ITN CONDUCTS MEDIA COVERAGE AND TELEVISION PRODUCTION TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR SLAF PERSONNEL
The Independent Television Network (ITN) conducted a seven-day training programme on "Media Coverage and Television Production" for personnel of the SLAF Media Division and SLAF personnel engaged in media coverage from 15 to 25 June 2026 at the ITN Auditorium.
The programme was organized with the objective of enhancing participants' knowledge and practical skills in television production and media-related activities. Training sessions were conducted by Mr. Sumiththa Kuruppu together with a panel of eight lecturers from ITN, covering topics including television production, media coverage, news reporting, camera operation, video editing and broadcast communication.
A total of 16 SLAF personnel successfully completed the training programme.
The certificate awarding ceremony was held yesterday (25 June 2026) at the ITN Auditorium. The event was attended by Director Media of the SLAF, Group Captain Nalin Wewakumbura, Deputy General Manager (Programmes) of ITN, Mr. Sarath Kumara Perera, and other SLAF officials, members of the ITN lecture panel and invited guests.
