MEMBERSHIP BADGES AWARDED TO NEWLY ENLISTED AIR SCOUTS
The Membership Badge Awarding Ceremony for newly enlisted Air Scouts was held yesterday (04 July 2026) at the SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, marking a significant milestone in their journey as members of the Air Scout Movement.
The event was graced by the Commanding Officer of SLAF TTS Ekala, Air Commodore Kolitha Abeysinghe, who attended as the Chief Guest. Also present were the Director Internal and Public Welfare, Air Commodore Sulochana Marapperuma, Chairman of the SLAF Air Scout Group, Group Captain Paminda Jayawardena, President of the Wattala–Ja-Ela Scout Group, Mr. Nipuna Wahalthanthreege, National Scout Headquarters Commissioner, Mr. Duminda Sampath Senevirathna, District Commissioner, Mr. Chanaka Damayantha together with Air Scout Masters and other distinguished invitees.

The ceremony formally inducted the newly enlisted Air Scouts into the movement, marking the beginning of their journey as members of the Air Scout fraternity. The newly invested Air Scouts pledged to fulfil their duties with dedication, serve the nation to the best of their ability, and uphold the values, principles and traditions of the Air Scout Movement.
