COMMANDER OF THE SRI LANKA NAVY CALLS ON THE COMMANDER OF THE AIR FORCE
27th Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Damian Fernando, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, today (06 July 2026) at Air Force Headquarters.
Upon arrival, Vice Admiral Fernando was received by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura, Air Commodore Buddika Piyasiri and was accorded a Guard of Honour presented by the SLAF Colour Wing.
During the visit, the Commander of the Navy also met with the Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera, Deputy Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Gihan Seneviratne and Members of the Air Force Board of Management. The cordial discussions between the two Commanders focused on areas of mutual interest, including joint training, technical knowledge exchange and the enhancement of maritime surveillance operations.
