The SLAF Karate Team delivered an outstanding performance at the 10th South Asian Karate Championship, organized by the South Asian Karate Federation (SAKF) and held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 14 to 21 July 2026.

Representing Sri Lanka with distinction, the SLAF contingent made a significant contribution to the national team's success by securing one Gold Medal, four Silver Medals and five Bronze Medals in the Individual Kumite, Team Kumite, Individual Kata and Team Kata events.

Upon their arrival in Sri Lanka, the team was warmly welcomed by the Chairman Air Force Karate and Director Sports, Air Commodore Prabhath Dissanayake, together with SLAF officials, in recognition of their outstanding achievement and valuable contribution to the nation's success at the championship.
