INTER UNIT NETBALL TOURNAMENT 2026
The SLAF Trade Training School Ekala team emerged Champions of the Inter Unit Netball Tournament 2026, defeating the SLAF Base Katunayake team in the final held today (28 July 2026) at the Air Force Health Management Center, Thummulla.
SLAF Trade Training School Ekala Team, was crowned Champions after securing 27 points, while SLAF Base Katunayake secured the Runners-up position with 16 points. The occasion was graced by Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe.
Highlighting the tournament's individual achievements, the players of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala earned three awards. The award for Netball Queen was received by Aircraftwoman Rathnasiri HMNN, Best Centre Court Player was awarded to Leading Aircraftwoman Koshali WD and Leading Aircraftwoman Madhumekhala WMN was named Best Defence. Pilot Officer PDJA Wickramasinghe of SLAF Base Katunayake received the award for Best Shooter.
