The Directorate of Logistics successfully conducted an Experience Sharing Session by retired SLAF Load Masters and a Refresher Training Programme for SLAF Load Masters today (31 July 2026) with the objective of refreshing their professional knowledge and enhancing operational readiness.

The programme was organized to ensure that SLAF Load Masters remain proficient in their specialized duties and fully prepared to effectively support future air operations. The training primarily focused on cargo loading procedures, aircraft safety, load planning and operational responsibilities related to the AN-32B transport aircraft and the Mi-17 helicopter.

A key highlight of the programme was an experience-sharing session conducted by retired veteran SLAF Load Masters, who shared valuable operational experiences, best practices and lessons learned throughout their distinguished careers. Their practical insights provided participants with a unique opportunity to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world operational experience.

The Director General Logistics, Air Vice Marshal Gladwin Atapattu, graced the occasion and interacted with the participants, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and refresher training in maintaining professional competence and operational readiness.
