COMMANDER ATTENDS THE 82ND ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE SRI LANKA EX-SERVICEMEN'S ASSOCIATION
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal
Bandu Edirisinghe, attended the 82nd Anniversary Celebration of the Sri
Lanka Ex-Servicemen's Association (SLESA), held at Eagles' Lakeside,
Attidiya yesterday (01 August 2026).
The event was graced by the Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd), as the Chief Guest. Upon arrival, the Chief Guest, the Commander of the Air Force and other distinguished invitees were warmly received by the President of the Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen's Association, Lieutenant Colonel Ajith Siyambalapitiya (Retd).
The commemorative ceremony featured the presentation of Meritorious Service Medals to members in recognition of their dedicated and longstanding service to the Association, honouring their continued commitment to the welfare and unity of the ex-servicemen community.
The occasion was attended by the former Commanders of the Tri-Forces, senior military officers, distinguished invitees and a large gathering of members of the Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen's Association.
