SLAF Station Iranamadu marked its 15th Anniversary yesterday (03 August 2026) with a series of commemorative events held under the patronage of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain Jayarathna Amarasinghe.

The anniversary programme commenced with the customary Working Parade, during which the Commanding Officer addressed the officers, airmen, and civilian staff of the Station. As part of the anniversary celebrations, SLAF Station Iranamadu conducted several community-oriented initiatives in the Kilinochchi District. These included a blood donation campaign, religious observances, a cleaning programme along the A9 road, donation of essential educational materials to schoolchildren in the area and renovation work at the Waddakachchi Maternity Hospital.

The celebrations concluded with an all-ranks commemorative lunch, followed by a friendly cricket tournament among the personnel of the Station, fostering camaraderie and esprit de corps among all members.
