The Commanding Officer of Sri Lanka Air Force Unit Baticaloa, Wing Commander Ajith Wawegama declared open a welfare canteen for station personnel on 12th September 2011.

This canteen provides cooked items for customers within the camp whilst benefitting the airmen and women who live out of the camp as well.
