The children’s party and the families’ get-together of SLAF Unit Katukurunda for year 2011 was held on 22nd December 2011.

 The children’s party was conducted from 1400 hrs to 1800 hrs with numerous kids’ entertainment items. See-saws, Slide Saw, Electric Cars, and Bouncers were full of children throughout the event. A Green duck, Mini mouse and Santa Clouse spent the entire evening with the kids. Organized games were conducted for children while the dancing and fancy dress competitions became extremely competitive. Attractive prizes were given away to the winners and all children participated with enthusiasm in each and every game.  

The Unit get-together commenced at 1800 hrs with an eye catching fireworks display which saw lights scattered all over the sky. A magician conducted a wondrous magic show at the outset of the function. The Air Force band “Eagles” performed while the Air Force cultural team displayed colourful dancing items at the function. The dancing competition and the rest of the games lined up for adults, added more colour to the evening function. All the servicemen, civilians and their families enjoyed the gathering and dispersed with joy, happiness and fond memories.
