SLAF Station Palaly Celebrates 30th Anniversary

The 30th Anniversary Day celebrations of the Sri Lanka Air Force Station Palaly were held on 1st January 2012.

A parade held at the newly constructed Parade Square kicked off the anniversary celebrations under the inspection of Commanding Officer Group Captain Athula Kaluarachchi. This was followed by a multi-religious ceremony to invoke blessings upon the Station, its Officers, Airmen and Civilians.

A spirited cricket match was also held with the participation of Airmen and Civilians of the Station showcasing the true camaraderie between all personnel.


In addition, Plans are in place to hold a Dental and Medical Clinic along with a Shramadana Programme at Vasavillan Maha Vidayalaya, Palaly on 10 January 2012.



Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
