An eventful day of social, religious and recreational activities marked the celebration of the 14th anniversary of Sri Lanka Air Force Unit Bandaranayake International Airport on 12th January 2012.

Coinciding with the Formation day celebrations, under the guidance of  Commanding Officer  SLAF Unit BIA Group Captain WWPD Fernando a blood donation campaign  was organized at the Saranathissa Temple, 18th Mile post temple, Adiambalama and Kimbulapitiya Catholic Churches respectively. Further fatigue programmes were conducted at General Hospital Negambo and Vijaya Kumarathunga Hospital,Seeduwa.

Later a cricket tournament was conducted with the participation of all ranks and civilians of the station. This was followed by an all ranks lunch.
