Wg Cdr MA Jabir presented the first copy of a book on aircraft technology authored by him to the Commander on 18 January 2012.  This is the first book on the subject published in the Sinhala language.  Wg Cdr Jabir intends this book to kindle the interest of young school students to learn about aircraft.  It is also a useful book for any Sinhala language reader to gain an overall understanding of how aircraft fly.  

The book explains how to recognize the various part of an airplane, how an aircraft flies, the methods of maneuvering aircraft, descriptions of aircraft systems and a colourful pictorial history of the development of aircraft during the last century.
