A newly built house, constructed under the patronage of the Sri Lanka  Air force Seva Vanitha  unit, was handed over to the family of late Wing Commander TDS Silvapulle (Killed in action) today, 17th June 2014. The Chairperson of Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Roshani Gunatilleke handed over the keys of newly built house situated at No 196/26 Winifreeda Waththa, Katana Road, Thimbirigaskaduwa, Negombo to the family members.

The construction of the house was carried out by SLAF Base, Katunayaka under the supervision of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and the Directorate of Welfare.

Director Welfare, Air Vice Marshal MLK Perera, Base Commander Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayaka, Air Commodore Sudarshana Pathirana, the members of the Directorate of Welfare and SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Service personnel of SLAF Base Katunayaka were also present at the event.
