SLAF Station Mullaitivu Celebrates 9th Anniversary

SLAF Station Mullaitivu celebrated its 9th Anniversary yesterday (3 August 2020). The Station organized a number of events to commemorate the day under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain AN Wijesiriwardena.

Two bus halts at Wattappalei Junction, built by the SLAF were renovated as a community service with the participation of Station personnel.

Further, a blood donation Campaign was organized at the Station Medical Centre also yesterday in order to fulfill the blood product requirements of the District Hospital at Mullaitivu, with the participation of the Commanding Officer, Officers and All Ranks of the Station. Sixty two (62) personnel of the Station donated blood during the event.

Finally, two Alms Giving Ceremonies were held at Kokilai and Nayaru Temples with the participation of the Commanding Officer, Officers and All Ranks of the Station to invoke blessings on fallen war heroes and also to bless SLAF Station Mullaitivu as well.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
