An awareness program on Environmental Conservation through foresting was conducted at SLAF Trade Training School Ekala under the patronage of the Commanding Officer, Air Commodore MPA Mahawattage on 20 August 2020.

This program was conducted by the Gampaha District Forest Officer, Mrs Devani Jayathilaka who is a veteran in Environmental studies. The program was conducted with an aim of imparting knowledge on service personnel regarding invasive species of plants in Sri Lanka and the importance of removing them in order to preserve the biodiversity of Sri lanka.
