The Commander’s Inspection of SLAF Station Batticaloa was held today (3 September 2020). The Commander was received by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain GPNC Piyasena and was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honor, followed by the awarding of commendations to two (2) Senior Non Commissioned Officers and a Civilian in recognition of their exceptional services towards the development of the Station.

The Inspection commenced from the Station Headquarters after which the Commander also declared open a newly constructed Station Hospital and visited other work places and construction sites within the Station.

In conclusion, the Commander addressed all ranks of the Station where he thanked them for their dedicated services to the nation and the SLAF in particular during challenging times and encouraged them to strive for even higher levels of discipline and standards.
