TWO KDU MEDICAL OFFICER CADETS COMMISSIONED AT AIR FORCE HEADQUARTERS
Two Medical Officer Cadets of the General Sir
John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU), who successfully completed
seven years of academic, military, and professional training since
joining the KDU 37 Intake on 27 June 2019, were commissioned as Medical
Officers of the Sri Lanka Air Force at a ceremony held at Air Force
Headquarters today (25 June 2026).
The commissioning ceremony was officiated by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, in the presence of members of the Air Force Board of Management and senior officers.
The Commander of the Air Force congratulated the newly commissioned officers on the successful completion of their training and commended their commitment and perseverance throughout their studies and military preparation. He extended his best wishes for their future service as Medical Officers of the Sri Lanka Air Force. The commissioning marks their entry into the Medical Branch of the Sri Lanka Air Force, where they will serve in supporting the health and medical readiness of Air Force personnel.
