Under the guidance of the Chairperson Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit organized a training programme for beauticians


The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit in collaboration with SLAF Station Colombo, staged ‘Vesak Bethi Gee Saraniya 2023’, on 6th May 2023 at the ‘Rifle Green’ Grounds, SLAF Station Colombo.


A High Tea was hosted by Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana for Chief of the Air Staff of Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari and the President Indian Air Force Wives Welfare Association,


The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit organized a comprehensive training program at the Clippers Hair and Beauty Salon in Guwanpura yesterday (24 April 2023), under the guidance of its Chairperson, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana. The training program was specifically designed for the beauticians working at the Clippers Hair and Beauty Salon and was conducted by a renowned expert in the field, Mrs. Nayana Karunarthne.


The Seva Vanitha Photo Booth and the Juice Bar were declared open by Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana,


The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit organized a programmme to honor the academic achievements of children belonging to Sri Lanka Air Force service personnel and civilians


The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit conducted the "Kapruk Pooja" to invoke blessings to the SLAF in line with the 72nd Anniversary. The solemn event held this evening (17 March 2023) at sacred Ruwanweliseya under the auspices of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana and the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva


The Sri Lanka Air Force Christmas Carols - 2022 was held last night (21 December 2022) to spread the joy of the season with “A Beautiful Star in Bethlehem”. On the invitation of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana and the Commander of the Air Force,


In celebration of World Children’s Day, SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit steered “Children’s Day” programmes at all SLAF establishments as a concept of the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Charmini Pathirana in accordance with the guidance of Commander of the Air Force,


Giving due consideration for the thoughts of children of SLAF families in connection with the World Children’s Day celebration 2022,


The SLAF Netball idols who paved the way to clinched the Asian Championship title, Squadron Leader Chathurangi Jayasooriya and Corporal Rashmi Perera were felicitated by the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Charmini Pathirana at Air Force Headquarters today (16 September 2022). 


The Annual General Meeting (AGM) – 2022 of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was held today (26 August 2022) at the Air Force Headquarters Auditorium.


In keeping with the concept of recognizing Children of Sri Lanka Air Force personnel and Civilians with high academic achievements, the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit organized a programme


According to a concept of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana, the "NIWAHANATA ASWENNA" urban agriculture motivational programme was commenced at all Air Force Establishments today (16 June 2022). A vegetable plants donation ceremony was conducted at SLAF Guwanpura General Service Quarter’s premises and the event was graced by the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit.


A new Seva Vanitha Bakery was declared open by Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana, today (16 June 2022) at Sri Lanka Air Force General Service Quarters premises Guwanpura.


The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit conducted “Kapruk Pooja” invoking blessings to the SLAF in parallel to the celebration of its 71st Anniversary and also to mark International Women's Day with a series of religious events at Anuradhapura. These religious events were held today evening (10 March 2022) at sacred Ruwanweliseya under the auspices of the Commander of the Air Force,


A colourful night was hosted to the differently able war veteran inmates at the 'Mihindu Seth Medura', Attidiya by Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana along with the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana.



“Guwan Gunadam” a novel concept which is pioneered by the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana and under the guidance of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana in view of uplifting the living standards of the civil employees who are serving in Sri Lanka Air Force establishments.  


Inline with the 71st Anniversary of the SLAF, a Special Donation programme was conducted today (01 March 2022) at “Amilasiri Gilan Bikshu Aramaya” at Avissawella under the guidance of Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshna Pathirana and Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana.


The newly constructed Day Care Centre of SLAF Station Sigiriya was declared open by the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana yesterday (10th January 2022) fulfilling a pivotal welfare facility of the serving personnel of this Station.


Under the guidance of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana and Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Charmini Pathirana, a special programme was conducted on yesterday (04 January 2022) to distribute gift packs to school children of SLAF personnel who made their supreme sacrifice to the nation. The symbolic donation of gift packs was carried out at the Seva Vanitha Unit, Air Force Headquarters and the event was graced by the Chairperson.


The Sri Lanka Air Force Christmas Carols 2021 was held last night (20 December 2021) to spread the joy of the season with “Christmas in the Arctic”.
