Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala meets the Chief of Staff of Japan Air Self-Defence Force, General Yoshiyuki Sugiyama, on 14 March 2016 during the Royal Australian Air Power Week-2016 in Canberra Australia. This visit enhanced the ties between Japan Air Self-Defence Force and Sri Lanka Air Force.

After a discussion on matters of mutual interest, Chief of Staff of Japan Air Self-Defence Force General Yoshiyuki Sugiyama and Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala exchanged mementos to mark the occasion.
