The fifth edition of "Colombo Naval Exercise - 2023" (CONEX-23), hosted by the Sri Lanka Navy, concluded successfully yesterday (12 February 2023) off the western seas. The final day exercises of CONEX-23, held in the seas off Colombo for the third consecutive day, were reviewed by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera.

A contingent of Bell 412 and Bell 212 helicopters from the SLAF were deployed as a supportive element for the exercise. A number of exercises were conducted, displaying naval cohesion and operational readiness. Further, both naval and air assets engaged in the exercise enhanced their interoperability over the maritime domain.
