The Non-Commissioned Officers' Management School, SLAF Academy China Bay, celebrated its 23rd anniversary today (01 September 2023) by giving prominence to social, religious and recreational activities. The Non-Commissioned Officers' Management School, was established in the year 2000 with the primary aim to develop leadership qualities and managerial skills of the Non-Commissioned Officers to enable them to work efficiently to achieve predetermined objectives of the Air Force.  The day’s celebrations commenced with a working parade at Academy Parade Ground and an addressed the all the school staff and trainees by the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander GDDPK Hathurusinghe.
 
In line with the anniversary celebration a “Shramadana” campaign was organized at Nalanda Vidyalaya, China Bay on 27 August 2023 and a “Darma Sermon” was conducted on 30 August 2023 at Academy Temple premises. Further, the celebration was concluded with a cricket tournament among the school staff and the trainee Non-Commissioned Officers at Academy Sports Ground today.
