The Change of Command of No 6 Helicopter Squadron at SLAF Base Anuradhapura took place with the traditional Handing over/ Taking over parade yesterday (06 February 2025) at the squadron premises.

The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain AR Pathirage WWV and Bar, RSP and Bar , USP, Pg Dip (Def Mgt), took over duties from Acting Commanding Officer, Wing Commander A Fernandopulle RSP and Bar, MSc (Def &Strat Stu), Pg Dip (Def Mgt).

The new Commanding Officer, was previously held the appointment of Flight Commander No 61 Flight. Wing Commander A Fernandopulle will take over the appointment of Officer Commanding Operations at No 6 Helicopter Squadron.
